Department Mission
  • The primary functions of an operations department include the design and management of products, services and processes.   • Day-to-day decision making upon strategies
  • Organizing publicity events
Responsibility
  • Assessing, choosing, retrieving and arranging materials
  • Answering inquiries
  • organizing public events for instance talks and exhibitions
  • Making the archives available to a broad range of users
  • Collecting and preserving perishable records
  • Providing education materials
  • Recognizing and bidding for funding
  • negotiating the acquisition of new models
  • Managing staff and budgets.
Requirements
  • Methodical and logical
  • Organized, with excellent administrative abilities
  • Highly IT-literate
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Friendly and able to relate well to a wide range of users
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to carry out independent research
  • Forward-thinking, with an ability to anticipate and prepare for changing uses of archived information
