Cafeteria Worker

Department Mission
  • Assisting business and facilitate trade whilst providing the necessary infrastructure to encourage the securing, utilization and respect of intellectual property rights
Role
  • As a Cafeteria Worker you are responsible for arranging beverages and food on steam tables, a la carte trays or maybe movable carts making products for customers. You have to stick to food preparation instructions and provide all beverages and food based on sanitary policies and cafeteria safety. Cafeteria employees may also work as cashiers.
Authority
  • Informing customers on needful information
  • Direct Contact with customers
  • Changing tables if needed
Responsibility
  • Report to Cafeteria Manager/Child Nutrition Supervisor.
  • Act in a professional way all the time.
  • Help in preparation of menu items and also create cafeteria service region.
  • Serve staff and students from the cafeteria service region.
  • Fresh work tables, refrigerators, floors, walls, equipment and counters.
  • Accountable for understanding & sticking to the security regulations as well as correct methods connected with the duties of the task as offered by the Cafeteria Manager/Child Nutrition Supervisor.
  • Attend, when feasible, most classes & seminars for food program.
  • Accountable for understanding & sticking to the security regulations as well as correct methods connected with the duties of the task as offered by the Cafeteria Manager/Child Nutrition Supervisor.
  • Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures which are needed for the sanitary and safe handling of food.
  • Follow sanitation as well as health regulations.
  • Perform various other duties as given by the Cafeteria Manager, Kid Nutrition Supervisor or maybe Director of Schools.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • Ability to understand and carry out basic kitchen instructions
  • Must be able to lift 25 Kilos. frequently, 50 kilos. Occasionally 50+ kilos, with help.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Child Nutrition Supervisor or Director of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
