DataBase Administrator (DBA)

Role
  • The role of Database Administrator is to keep the database up and run with zero down time. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backed data structure and front-end accessibility for end-users.
Authority
  • Design, develop and improve database
  • Access to full flow of user information which is confidential and need to be protected
  • Cooperate with the team and stakeholders to build a seamless platform
  • Participate in recruitment process
  • Train database users
Responsibility
  • Works closely with Managing Director of the Data Team and internal teams to understand the broader system architecture and execution on the company’s data needs
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor the data infrastructure and data flow of external data sources, Data Warehouse and Salesforce instances
  • Ensure data integrity between all systems and investigate potential issues in ETL processes
  • Design, implement and integrate new data sources to the current data infrastructure
  • Performing high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
  • Minimize database downtime and management parameters to provide fast query responses
  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
  • Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standard
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related degree or proven experience in database management
  • 3-4 years of experience in database management and/or ETL development
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, along with clear communication skills
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Proficiency in query and coding languages including SQL, Python, Ruby code
  • Proficiency in AWS architecture (RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) and the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform
  • Expertise in at least one ETL tool (Tibco Scribe, Xplenty, Alooma, Mulesoft, etc.)
