Role
The role of Database Administrator is to keep the database up and run with zero down time. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backed data structure and front-end accessibility for end-users.
Authority
Design, develop and improve database
Access to full flow of user information which is confidential and need to be protected
Cooperate with the team and stakeholders to build a seamless platform
Participate in recruitment process
Train database users
Responsibility
Works closely with Managing Director of the Data Team and internal teams to understand the broader system architecture and execution on the company’s data needs
Manage, maintain, and monitor the data infrastructure and data flow of external data sources, Data Warehouse and Salesforce instances
Ensure data integrity between all systems and investigate potential issues in ETL processes
Design, implement and integrate new data sources to the current data infrastructure
Performing high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
Minimize database downtime and management parameters to provide fast query responses
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standard
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related degree or proven experience in database management
3-4 years of experience in database management and/or ETL development
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, along with clear communication skills
Strong project management abilities
Proficiency in query and coding languages including SQL, Python, Ruby code
Proficiency in AWS architecture (RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch) and the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform
Expertise in at least one ETL tool (Tibco Scribe, Xplenty, Alooma, Mulesoft, etc.)
